Amanda Smith, Trade Mark Specialist
Amanda joined CreateIP early in 2011 from another law firm where she provided full support to a busy team of three. At the firm prior, she quickly progressed from receptionist to legal secretary and then legal executive while working on her Diploma in Legal Executive Studies from Christchurch Polytechnic. She also possesses a Certificate in Business Administration and is now working her way towards completing the various New Zealand and Australian trade mark exams.
Amanda has in the past focused on conveyancing and commercial areas of the legal profession, and has a keen interest in real estate and property law. She became a property investor and manager at the age of 18.
At CreateIP Amanda enjoys working as part of a small, tight-knit and family-oriented team. She supports the trade mark practice and draws on her extensive organisational skills to help streamline the operations of the whole group. Amanda is also a member of the New Zealand Institute of Legal Executives.
In her spare time, Amanda enjoys mountain biking, rock climbing, trail walking, yoga and surfing.
