CreateIP has won in the Most outstanding triumph over adversity category of The David Awards, recognising a business which has succeeded in spite of challenges beyond the usual. The David Awards celebrate the unsung heroes in businesses with less than 10 employees, whose tenacity, courage and ingenuity place them firmly at the forefront of entrepreneurship in New Zealand.
Most of the challenges CreateIP faced in 2011 were related to the Canterbury earthquakes – the typical challenges of dealing with high growth as well as dealing with once in a lifetime business disruption. But we have managed to attract new staff, improved our resilience and our infrastructure, and diversified our offering and our client base. Our remarkable journey was captured in a recent NZ Business magazine profile.
Despite the upheaval the company has grown at Fast 50 pace and services some of the country’s best and brightest innovators. A satisfaction survey of some of these clients earlier this year indicated they are very happy with our personalised, strategic and long term approach. Most of them have worked with other firms before and find CreateIP to be a refreshing change.
Our congratulations go out to all of the other finalists and winners of this year’s David Awards!
