In 2012 CreateIP was named “New Zealand Patents Law Firm of the Year” in Acquisition International (AI) Magazine’s M&A Awards. Now we add to the honours with a new title in their annual Legal Awards: “Most Innovative Law Firm of the Year (New Zealand)”.
Jane Peter, Chief Coordinator of the AI Legal Awards, which received a record number of votes, said: “Our legal awards winners are leaders in their respective fields – and crucially, are nominated by their clients, their professional relationships and their peers.”
The awards, sponsored by Merrill Datasite, recognise legal teams that shine in the toughest of climates. In their announcement AI noted that “deal activity is pretty flat, access to finance remains a pan European problem, and businesses are still very cautious in their plans and approach to growth… Most law firms are contemplating the seemingly increasing polarity in the shape of the market – go global or go niche. Merger activity remains high and marriages of convenience will continue domestically and internationally.”
Acquisition International is a UK-based magazine focused on the global mergers & acquisitions deal market, and is read by over 50,000 people. View the Acquisition International magazine website.
The CreateIP trophy case is now bursting with two nods from Acquisition International as well as the title New Zealand Patent Law winner from Global Law Experts and Most outstanding triumph over adversity in the David Awards.
