CreateIP has been named as a finalist in the Management Services (small business) category of the 2013 Excellence in Business Support Awards! They are one of four finalists in the category.

“In a services business – and a young one – it can be difficult to differentiate yourself and quantify the value provided to clients,” said Robert. “This is a fantastic validation of the critical role that intellectual property plays in commercial success, and the effort CreateIP has put into helping our clients prosper from their great ideas.”

The awards, now in their eighth year, are organised by Auckland University of Technology’s Business School and are the only national performance measure available to business support organisations in New Zealand. The robust entry and evaluation process requires finalists to reflect on how business excellence is achieved through leadership and planning, customer and market focus, provision of business support, evaluation and improvement, and business results.

AUT Dean Dr Geoff Perry said: “The Excellence in Business Support Awards are regarded highly among industry, providing organisations the chance to benchmark their performance alongside others in their field. As a Business School, it’s important for us to celebrate the businesses that contribute to the economic development of our region, so that together, we can continue to add value to the changing world of business.”

The winners will be announced on 5 September at a black-tie gala dinner in Auckland. For more information, visit: www.aut.ac.nz/business/ebsa
